MYSL has decided that, in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our traditional divisioning meeting will not occur this Tuesday, July 28, as originally scheduled. In its place, MYSL will invite the Directors of Coaching for each of our affiliated members and critical staff to attend a ZOOM meeting which will begin at 8 p.m. on this same Tuesday. It is expected to last for approximately 2 hours or less. This meeting will be hosted by the MYSL President, Dave Harris, and the MYSL Director of Coaching, Anthony Spica.
Prior to this meeting, MYSL will post the preliminary divisions late afternoon Monday July 27, for all to review. It is anticipated that discussions will focus on division competitiveness and workability. Any necessary adjustments will have to satisfy both of those conditions.
Of special note, for the Fall 2020 Season MYSL will ONLY schedule a maximum of eight (8) games per division, which may cause some teams randomly to play an opponent twice and other teams only once. MYSL strongly believes that for the Fall 2020 season an eight (8) game season will allow enough flexibility to complete the season, assuming a mid-September start date and return-to-play conditions.J
