Important Fall 2012 – Five New Site Features for MYSL players/parents/managers/coaches.
Below are some new features we've added to the MYSL website for Fall 2012.
1) Maps to Fields
During scheduling, we asked that you select your field from a set list. The benefit this provides is that we can link those fields to their corresponding map at Google.com.
On the "Schedules & Standings" page, once you've loaded your division and have the list of matches. On most you will see a map link on the location line. Clicking that link will open a new browser window, which takes you directly to the Google.com map for the field's address that we have on file.
If there is no map link present, it is because the game was scheduled not using a field from the set list. If this is due to the field not being part of the set list, please contact myslwebmaster@michigansoccer.com to add the field.
If you find that the map has an incorrect location for a given field, please contact myslwebmaster@michigansoccer.com with the corrected address. We have encountered some issues with the way Google.com interprets the address (Twenty One Mile Road vs 21 Mile Rd, for instance).
2) Important Email Notifications
You can now subscribe to receive email notifications for a given team. At this time, there are two types of notifications: Game Change Notification and Game Cancellation Notification..
Please take a moment and read the FAQ regarding this new feature, HERE.
3) Game Cancellation Notice
In the same manner which you would report a game score or request a game change, you can now submit a game cancellation notice which will email all addresses that are subscribed to both the home and away team, alerting them of a possible cancellation of your upcoming game.
Please take a moment and read the FAQ regarding this new feature, HERE.
4) Improved Score Submission
While not a new feature, there have been some changes to the score submission system for Fall 2012.
Please take a moment and read the updated FAQ regarding changes to this feature, HERE.
5) Social Media
Be sure to "Like" MYSL on Facebook, and follow MYSL on Twitter (links to both along the right sidebar).
Notifications will be posted to both social media sites when a new post is made on Michigansoccer.com, and when a game cancellation notice is submitted.
We trust these new features will enhance your soccer experience in the MYSL. Should you encounter any issues using them, or any other part of the website, please contact myslwebmaster@michigansoccer.com.
