At the 2016 Michigan Youth Soccer League’s Annual Banquet held November 11th, the MYSL announced that this year it was raising funds to purchase toys and was accepting donations for the 2016 Marine Toys for Tots campaign. The MYSL pledged its support by matching all donations. Through the generosity and kindness of its affiliated leagues/clubs and attendees, approximately $3,000 was raised to benefit needy children in our area in keeping with the best of the holiday spirit. With the MYSL match, we were able to deliver approximately $6,000 in toys and donations, which were delivered to the Marine Toys for Tots facility in Mt. Clemens on December 10th. President David Harris and Vice President Yvonne Curtis presented the toys and checks to Staff Sergeant Jimmy Pineda, U.S.M.C. (pictured below).
